MALVERN, PA — USA Technologies said it has expanded its agreement with Augusta, GA-based A&A Vending Services, which is upgrading 1,200 machines with USAT’s cashless and telemetry platform. USAT’s technology suite features the NFC-capable ePort Connect payment system, which tracks the acceptance of cash, credit and debit cards, as well as mobile wallets (including Android Pay and Apple Pay).
With nearly 520 machines connected in four months, A&A is reporting positive early results, USAT said. A&A Vending has enrolled in USAT’s Premium Support Service, which is available to customers making a commitment to connect a substantial portion of their locations to USAT’s service. The program bundles USAT’s “best-in-class” services. These include USAT’s Model Market program for planning, project management, installation and marketing support; deployment planning and performance optimization; access to USAT’s knowledge base data; profitability calculation; and customized reporting in support of deployment, inventory and DEX project management.
Established in 1995, A&A Vending Services, a Canteen franchise, is one of the largest vendors serving Augusta and surrounding cities. It operates 39 routes with thousands of vending machines, office refreshment installations and micromarkets. A&A’s parent, Dixie Riverside, is a family-owned and operated bottling and full-line vending business that has been serving contiguous areas of Georgia and South Carolina for nearly 75 years.
“For the past 20 years, we have built our company name on providing outstanding service by listening to the needs of our customers,” said A&A owner Les Perry. “More and more of our customers are looking to make contactless purchases from our machines, so we realized that transitioning to cashless wasn’t something we could put off any longer.
